LIGHT OUR VISION calls on artists to transform non-places into places of light with their contributions. All forms of light art are welcome – classical, large-scale projections with moving images, light sculptures, interactive installations, purely scenographic approaches, classical lighting art and walking acts. Applications are invited from both collectives and individual artists.

While the artistic contributions can on the one hand address and comment on the current situation, they can also inspire the exchange of ideas for reshaping the city. We are open to the broadest possible spectrum of different ideas and concepts. The total remuneration for all artistic works (excluding technology) is approx. 65,000 euros. An independent jury consisting of architects, light and video artists, and representatives from the fields of culture and theatre will evaluate the contributions.
This year, some installations, including those at the Aktienspinnerei spinning works, at the main station, on Marienplatz and on Schillerplatz, will be commissioned directly by the jury outside of this open call.
